The Rising Sun Tim Pfaff

Taking in the West for the scenery

Want to leave the sadness of life behind

Walking in the shade of the greenery

Sitting in the glow of the campfire light

And we go on and on

Who knows how we found this song

And we go on and on

Dancing to the light of the rising sun

Living in the land of the creamery

Filling our apartment with peas and pies

Bringing home an angel of springtime

Smiling crinkled nose and two sweet blue eyes

And we go on and on

Who knows how we found this song

And we go on and on

Dancing to the light of the rising sun

Soon it came the season for moving

Little corner house near the old train yard

Sledding with our kids in the schoolyard

Walking to the park and going up and down that slide

And we go on and on

Who knows how we found this song

And we go on and on

Dancing to the light of the rising sun

Now we're in the hillsides of redbud

Appalachian hippies and stardust nights

Staring at the moon through our window

And swaying to the songs that we'll sing tonight

And we go on and on

Who knows how we found this song

And we go on and on

Dancing to the light of the rising sun

And we go on and on

Who knows how we found this song

And we go on and on

Dancing to the light of the rising sun...
